DDSM w/ bad hex pick up E bass any solutions

Taylor DDSM Issue LR Baggs Hex Individual Acoustic Pickups My E Bass string no longer picks up and when moved just buzzes and cracks. Is there any electronic or mechanical solutions you have come up with for this issue.
I would hate to see my 4K investment be worthless.
