High Pitched Squeal

I've had a Lyric for around two years and it has just begun producing a high pitched squeal. When I plug in through a DI or direct to an amp, it appears to be working ok, initially there is no squeal but then after a minute quite a loud squeal starts. I haven't changed the battery since I installed the pick-up.

I've actually heard of that happening before. If you change the battery out with a fresh one, you should be back to normal.

Cheers Caleb, I was wondering about that given the amount of time the current battery's been there. I'll test it and report results.
