Crackling, popping, and buzzing in anthem preamp

Hello everyone!

I have recently begun to have some problems with my Anthem. The 1/8" jack that connects the preamp to the control panel must have some loose wiring within it. There is a lot of crakling and popping when I play. Sometimes, there is just dead buzzing. I can control it somewhat by fiddling with the jack, but I can not get it to stay clean sounding for long. As the guitar is jostled by playing, it makes the popping/crakling noises again.

I am sure that I am not the first person to have this problem, so...what do I do? Is there some other cause that I may be overlooking?
