  • Extra switch in imix... older version

I just bought a used guitar with an iMix system installed and the manual that comes with it shows a different layout than the actual unit.
Specifically, it has an additional switch in the ibeam section, between the iBeam mid and the pickup mid pots.

Whats it for and is there a different version of the manual for my particlar iMix vesion?
When I search on line I see images exactly like mine for sale.... Suprised I cant find anything about it on the LR Baggs website and no other questions about it on this forum.

    Hey Dwaine,
That switch is actually a phase switch. It inverts the phase between the pickups so that they can be sure to interact with each other correctly. Generally, one phase will sound a little thin when the pickups are mixed 50/50, while the other phase will sound more full and robust.

Sorry that you had so much trouble getting a hold of that information.

Thanks for the help. Was I right in assuming this is an older version of the iMix? or is it the current version and the manual has not been updated?

From what I understand, the manual hasn't been updated. The version with the Phase switch is the current version of the preamp.
