Control X power question

Hello all... I have a question about power with my Control X. Is it possible to run it at 18 or even 27 volts? Some preamps can be run at additional voltage (two or three batteries) and it adds additional headroom, I was wondering if this is the same or would adding additional voltage just fry the circuit? Thanks for any info!

Our engineers confirm that the CTRL-X is able to operate on 18V, as there are some 18V power circuits for active magnetic pickups and the two circuits can share power and on/off switching. The circuit is not designed to operate on 27V.
