Thanks for joining the forum! That would definitely work. You may want to get a velcro loop of some sort so the cable isn't flopping around in the guitar while it's not installed. The name of the cable you are looking for is "M1C2."

hi , am looking at the mi-active pickup, my question is I'm wanting to use it in two guitars, a gibson 1962 J-45 and a 1979 gibson gospel,I'm wondering if I bought a extra strapjack harness part # mia-c1 along with purchase of the mi-active. could I install a haness in each guitar and then just switch the sondhole pickup from guitar to guitar, for playing . will welcome any advise. thanks
