  • Anthem vs M1

Hi, I have a Takamine EAN20c which comes with a Cool Tube CTP-2 preamp. I´m using VENUE DI.

I'm using it in a rock/pop band in very big venues at very loud monitoring levels (with a high risk of getting feedback). I mainly play hard strumming.

I'm thinking about the M1 (actually Takamine tri-ax), the Anthem or the Anthem SL.

I'm also wondering if i can take any advantage of the guitar built in system. Wood worth it mixing both signals. How?

Which system do you think is better? And which is more feedback resistant?

Thanks and sorry for my English. I'm from Argentina.

    Hi Juan,

Since you have the Cool Tube preamp, I am inclined to recommend the M1 or Takamine Triax pickup. The auxiliary input of the CTP-2 is designed for either a mini-microphone or a magnetic pickup signal and the Triax is supplied with a cable for connection to that auxiliary input.

The Anthem and Anthem-SL are complete systems that consist of an under-saddle transducer, a mini-microphone and a specially-tuned preamp with crossover mixing circuit. The Anthem systems are not intended to be used as an add-on to any other system as they are meant to stand alone.
