M1 Active sound hole pickup

I have a M1 Active Sound hole pickup installed in my seagull acoustic it is so MID/Treble I cant use it the rest of the band feels that I am going to kill their ears if I adjust the mid and treble on the board it dosent help. before I have to spend lots of money to replace it is anyone else having this issue? can it be adjusted?
