Gluing Saddle

I have recently had an Anthem SL installed in a parlour sized steel string guitar. The install was done by the dealer that I purchased the Anthem from. I have discovered that the installer glued the undersaddle pickup and the saddle into the bridge slot. Has anyone ever heard of this being done. In my opinion it has dramatically changed the sound of the guitar which was very balanced to begin with and is now a 10 on treble and a 4 on midrange and base. Before I take it back to be redone I just want to make sure that I'm not missing something here.

Any input would be greatly appreciated as I spent may months (and guitars) finding this particular one which now has a sound that is entirely different and not particularly pleasant.
