Do I need a preamp?

If I use a Baggs Lyric directly into an acoustic guitar amp (Fishman Loudbox 100), do I need to use a DI (Para or Venue) between them? Or is this unnecessary?

This is for situations when there is no PA.

Hey Charley,
The Lyric has enough output to go directly into an amp. However, having a Para DI or Venue DI can be used with an amp or PA to add gain and EQ control to your signal. It's not necessary, but the result is nice, so I always recommend it.
