I built a Fleta copy classical guitar, could I use a Lyric pickup in it? All of the pictures and the installation sheet show the Lyric used on steel strings guitars.
many thanks,
David N
Hi David,
As the Lyric is currently designed, it doesn't sound very good on nylon string guitars. We are working on a Classical version of the Lyric, but although we are doing some beta-testing, it won't likely be ready for sale for a few more months.
Caleb, I'm a classical guitar player as well, and desperate for something like the Lyric for a pure natural sound at high volume with no feedback issues. Will there be some sort of roll-out when the Lyric for nylon string hits the market--an emailing at least?

Hi Caleb,
I may need to amplify the Fleta copy sooner than I thought. I won't need high volmes, just sound reinforcement in a church, how will the Element active for nylon strings sound?
thank you.

The Element Active for Nylon String actually does a very good job amplifying the guitar. It isn't quite as natural as the Lyric, but it is a very sturdy pickup. If you are looking for something right now, I would recommend the EAS for Classical.
