The best advice I can give is to have an experienced guitar tech or repairman do, at the very least, the drilling for you. It's the best way to ensure you don't accidentally damage the instrument by use of improper tools or lack of know-how.

Just received an M1 as a Father's Day gift from my Son. I'm toying with the idea of a strapback installation but, as you might imagine, I'm a little apprehensive about drilling into my guitar! Sounds simple enough, but... Any advice?
