  • Ribbon transducer question

I have a Dual source system that is currently configured with an Ibeam and the Mic.
It was originally configured with the ribbon transducer. I have the original ribbon transducer still. I do not know who removed the ribbon transducer but believe it was a guitar tech.
Today when I pulled up the saddle while changing strings I noted what appears to be a thin gold colored strip (it is not the ribbon transducer as I have that separate and not in the guitar) that is affixed lightly to the bottom of the saddle slot. Is this a remnant of the Ribbon transducer left there when it was removed? It looks similar in color to the gold colored strip on the top of the transducer.

Any help on this would be appreciated.
    thanks
    Dave

    Hi Dave,
I can't think of anything else that it would be- it might be a bad pickup, left as a shim in the slot. Other than that, I'm not sure. You can try removing it, if it has a wire attached, it may be a functioning pickup.

If you want to post pictures, that might help to identify it.
