  • Venue DI Power Problems

I have had my Venue DI for about 2 to 3 years and now it will not work on battery power and sometimes it will cut out when plugged in. Are these related problems or are they different issues? How do I get them fixed? I keep the unit in excellent condition with no abuse. Thank you for your help.

If you send me an email at [email protected], I can go over repair options with you.

It's not the easiest thing to fix, but we can repair it pretty quickly if you send it in.

I sent through Priority Mail. You should have received the pedal on Friday. Thank you, Mike

          Hi there,

I have a question in regards to batteries with the Venue DI. I ordered a Venue DI pedal and I have an LR Baggs Anthem SL pickup in my Taylor guitar, do I still need both the 9V battery in the Anthem pickup and the one in the Venue DI? Or will it work with just a battery in the Venue DI?

          Thanks.

            Hi Ronny,

Thanks for asking. I'm sorry to say the battery power in the external preamp unit does not supply the system installed in the guitar.

You'll need to keep a battery connected to each device.

                Hey Ronnie,
The Anthem SL's preamp still requires it's own power source, even when used with the Venue DI. The SL's dedicated battery is required in order to provide voltage to the mic, and to power all of the other circuitry. The Venue DI is an amazing unit, but it is not capable of providing voltage to its input.

I am currently using the Anthem SL in my 0-body guitar, into my Venue DI, and it is my favorite setup that I've ever had for my acoustic. So I hope you enjoy the new gear combination as much as I do.
