  • Does the PADI required 48v phantom power?

Just got a PADI. With my guitar plugged in (with a Baggs M1A pickup) and phantom power engaged on my mixer, I get no output and the green LED does not light up. My old mixer only provides 24v phantom power. Is that why the PADI doesn't work with it? Is works fine with a 9v battery.

    Hey lmacmil,
The Para DI actually has a minimum Phantom Power requirement of 26v, according to the specs. So if your mixer only supplies 24v (actual voltage supplied will vary), then you will need to use a battery instead. We highly recommend 48v, but the DI should fully operate with anything over 26v.
