Element with rechargeable battery

Will the Element work with a rechargeable battery? Any disadvantages?

In my experience, rechargeable batteries don't last nearly as long as regular batteries, in any application. Other than that, I don't know if there are any other downsides. I've never actually tried a rechargeable battery in any of my guitars.

Hopefully we can get some more input from other users.
