  • Can the volume control be removed from Element?

I have an Element in one guitar and just bought another one. Don't really need the volume control. Wondering if it can be removed or wired so the volume is at maximum all the time? I would like the flexibility to add a feedback buster if needed.

    lmacmil,
Actually, if you clip the remote off, it will revert to full volume at all times.

I know a couple of players who just tie the remote up in the guitar, but others I've talked to just cut it off completely. Either choice works fine.

Thanks. That's a better idea than clipping it off in case I ever decide I want it. Might also be able to cut a notch out of the soundhole plug and leave the volume in place.

Btw, I am going to use the Element in a Taylor GA3 that currently has an M1A. Based on my other guitar with the Element, I think it will have a little more natural acoustic sound than the M1A but may be more susceptible to feedback. In either case, I'll be using a Baggs pickup!
