If I'm using an outboard pre within 10 feet of my guitar, is there an advantage to installing the LB6 end pin preamp, other than having a volume control?
The LB Pre has some pre-set EQ in it, but it's pretty minimal. If your external preamp has any EQ, you can tailor your sound and probably get a better overall result than the fixed EQ. In that case, the volume control is definitely the biggest advantage to the onboard preamp.
