Problems preamp in Godin guitar

Hello.
I have some problems with a preamp in a Godin guitar. The sound is ok for the first 20 to 30 sec. after connection a battery. But then the sound starts to be more and more distorted and fade totally out. Any suggestions? I have uploaded a picture of the preamp.

From the picture, it looks like you have an Acousticaster (9v model).

If the sound is cutting out after 20-30 seconds, then there's probably a component on the circuit board that is failing. It might be something that is repairable, but since that particular version of the Acousticaster preamp has been out of production for so long, some of the key components are not available.
