You can always order it separately from one of our local retailers. You might be able to find an individual iMix preamp on eBay or somewhere like that too. They are available though.

The Element and the output jack should just unplug from the Dual Source and plug into the iMix. Then you can use the M1C3 (http://www.bluestarmusic.com/LR-Bagg...IMix_p_76.html) to utilize the M1 in place of the iBeam.

The Dual Source was designed to mix a pickup and an internal mic together. So the mic channel actually applies DC voltage to it's input source. This would make a pickup like the M1 sound very noisy for the limited amount of sound that you would even get from it.

If you wanted to mix two pickups together, the iMix would be my recommendation. The iMix preamp was designed for pickups specifically. So it is fully capable of blending the Element, iBeam, M1, or the M80 together for a mono or stereo output. The Dual Source is just not capable of that functionality.

    I hope that helps.

Original Dual Source ... want to change out the mic

Is it possible to trade out the mic on an original Dual Source system for an M1 or M80, meaning could I plug either of the M-series pickups into the Dual Source preamp?
Working...
