The Anthem SL Classical actually works very well on Flamenco guitars, in my experience. We have several artists who play the SL-C for Flamenco, Classical, and Hybrid styles, and they are very happy with the system.

The pickup in the SL is not as sensitive to pulling up on the strings, so it handles that playing style very well.

Caleb, did you ever tried the Anthem SL Classical on a flamenco guitar? or classic... any problems with strings balance? flamenco players attack strings very hard continuously with the thumb nail. Curiously I have problems not on D,A,E strings but on B and G strings, only on the piezo sound and it is like if you pull-up the string and let it loose and hit on the frets.
I know that it may be a fishman piezo problem(Ive replaced with similar results) and this is an LR Bagg Forum, but after ask them about a strings balance question and their (stupid) replay I prefer not to ask them again.

Unfortunately, the Element doesn't typically work as a replacement for Fishman undersaddle pickups. Fishman uses a higher output Piezo crystal pickup, while we use a lower output and higher capacitance Piezo film- so they are not directly interchangeable without inherent issues. If you did use the Element into a Fishman onboard preamp, there is a strong potential that you would have a much lower output, as well as some lessened bass response.

Of course, it's your choice in the end, but it's not something that I would recommend.

That´s what I supposed.
I´ll ask to the customer about it, if he would like to try the Anthem SL Classical. I, ve installed the SL on a Taylor and the result was very satisfactory.

Hi all,

I am reinstalling a fishman Ellipse Matrix Blender on a Flamenco guitar with a special wider string separation.
The original fishman piezo is short for this guitar and 1th and 6th have problems on output (lower, OC)
Does anybody tried (mixed) the LR Element on this system? any impedance, output , balance problems?.
