Lyric installation on Guild GAD-F40

Hi All,

I've just taken delivery of a Lyric and Venue DI for use with my beloved Guild GAD-F40. This is a little recording I did a while back (just using the camera's mic, so bass isn't really coming through) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lKVtElCxvj0.

I'm a little concerned about placement of the mic itself, reading other people's experiences... It seems to be a bit of a black art. Does anyone have any experience fitting to a guitar of this body shape, or, even better, to this exact guitar? The body is, I believe, a Grand Orchestra shape, with 16" lower bout. Woods are solid spruce for the top and solid maple back and sides.

Hey Peter,
I would start with the mic in the "stock" position, and then depending on the response, you can consider changing it.
