Hi,
Just wanted to share my experience on nickel strings for my acoustic guitar (just purchased). I have Taylor guitar, and purchased nickel twisted strings on it. Taylors for the most part sound brilliantly, while the nickel wounds somewhat change the sound not fairly bright, with rather good balance, however there's a loss (noticeable) in sustain. In the case of playing fingerstyle, I can hear singular notes of 2 or 3 note harmonies with stunningly better detachment. I believed that was insane, at first, however then thought - why not: whatever makes your day.
