M80 on Roland Keyboard speaker KC-400

This is odd, but the only other thing that I can think is that the L and R inputs might be different on the amp. Did you try using the L and R inputs on each chanel?

I think there may be some strange incompatibility here, but I can't seem to find what it might be.

yes I used the same unbalanced cable in all application that I described above.

Have you made sure that you are using an unbalanced/mono cable, and not a stereo/balanced cable?

ah this is annoying, I don't know what happened but somehow the parts of my post is gone lost. So let me rewrite.

I need help on M80 output level. I usually set it at active mode and keep the volume near max (i.e. 8-9), play straight to the board via active DI (using the phantom power from the board). So far had no major issue.

But today I tried to play it through the Roland KC-400, which is a 4 channels keyboard amp, 1 mic input, 2 line inputs and 1 monitor), using the line input. I don't know why but I could get my M80 to sound on the line input channel. I didn't use the DI as no phantom nor battery was available, but anyway I understand DI is not required in such set up. I tried keyboard, other active preampified acoustic guitar and electronic drum on the line input channel and they all had no issue with plenty of volume. I tried the M80 on the mic input channel, then it sounded very well, matter in fact very loud.

Can you please help is there is anything I'm doing wrong here? I would expect M80 to work fine on the line input channel. By the way, I tried it on the very small Fender amp for the electric (can't remember the model) but it also didn't work with M80.
