Great to hear! Let me know if you encounter any further difficulty.

    All the best!

    Hi Caleb

I'm going down to the studio tonight so Ill try a few different XLR leads and also try it in the recording interface.

I was also using it with a zoom 9v power supply, if this could make a difference?

The PA I was using was a Peavey PV14 Compact Mixer with a pair of Wharfedale Titan 12D 300W Active Loudspeakers.

    Cheers

    Chris

    Hey Christopher,
I've mentioned this issue to a few techs and engineers here, and none of us can think of anything in the Venue that would cause the XLR output to do that. Of course, it's still possible, but I don't want to jump to that conclusion just yet.

Can you tell me what PA system you are using? (mixer, speakers, etc.)

Also, what other gear have you tried the XLR lead on? You might still try another lead, if you have one available. Changing the Ground/Lift switch may also reveal something.

    Let me know.

    Venue DI xlr output

Hi there after buying a defective venue from ebay (second hand) I returned it and just bought a new unit to pair with my lyric installed in my BSG dreadnought. This one works and sounds fantastic but only if I use the jack output, when I run an xlr cable from the venue to our PA the signal is really weak and sounds terrible compared to the jack running into the same PA.

The sound is incredibly thin and really quiet, it's actually unusable. Am I doing something wrong? I realise tge volume knob only controls the output to the jack but I'm having to put the gain in the PA to full and the treble n the venue to 0 and the bass on full to get anything resembling a decent signal. The xlr lead is working fine on other gear?
