  • LR Baggs Element EAV installation.

    Hi.
New here, I have a question:
I'v got a LR baggs element and am about to install it on my classic guitar who had installed a Fishmann pickup who is making mass noise (25 years old); I decided to change it for a lr Baggs.
The matter is that it has a hole done to past the pickup cable(Fishmann) but this hole is at 90

The matter is that it has a hole done to past the pickup cable(Fishmann) but this hole is at 90 and the lr bags need a hole at 45. Can I do a hole on the other side (high E string) and would that affect the sound ? Or shall I do the hole near the 1st hole ?
    Thanks.
    Gaetan

      Hi gae247,
      Thanks for posting.

The Element will definitely still work in a 90-degree hole. It's not ideal, but I've done that same thing when replacing Fishman pickups many times, with no issues.

Ok, thank you very much for this quick answer !
So no more holes in my guitar, I will probably make the hole a little bigger so the angel is less stiff.

        Have a nice day !
