I have a new Martin HD 28. Had a guitar tech install an Element. Sounds great but the action is now too low. But the biggest concern is that now the robust sound of the low strings is gone when playing unplugged. How to correct that? Thanks for any help.

Hey ebrackin,
Thanks for posting.
If the saddle was sanded too short then the best thing to do would be to have a new saddle made at the correct height. You can definitely try a small wood or plastic shim under the pickup, but that may cause some string balance issues.
If you want to try a shim, it won't hurt anything. It's not usually recommended because it usually causes other issues.
