    Align Session and additional compression

I have just purchased an Align Session. I will be putting it first in the chain before a Fishman Platinum Pro EQ. The Fishman has compression. Should I avoid using the compression on the Fishman, since there is some compression going on in the Align Session? I typically keep the compression knob on the Fishman at about 10 o'clock.

It depends on the needs of the instrument. If you really do benefit from the EQ, then the Session won't be enough. If you really don't need or don't use much EQ, then the Session DI is a great and simple way to process the signal.

    Thank you so much.
Do you think that the Session DI for itself is enough?
I ask that because Im thinking to buy it in substitution of PARA. Or the combined EQ from the PARA DI with the compression system from the Session Align series will be a better upgrade for my tone?

The Session works great with the Para DI. Personally, I would run the Session first.

    Hey lroberts,
The Session's Comp-EQ and traditional compressors actually function differently enough so that they usually work pretty well together. I would definitely recommend running the Session first, and then the other compressor. You probably won't need much from the Fishman compressor at that point, but even a subtle amount should have a nice effect on the sound.
