  • LR Baggs Venue series ?

So I've recently purchased a venue series DI and it has to outputs a 1/4 jack and an XLR. I'm going to be going straight in to our PA for gigs but the thing is it's only a small PA with 2 XLR inputs and 2 1/4 inputs meaning guitar will have to go into a 1/4 one. Can anybody tell me if this will affect the sound using the 1/4 output of the venue series opposed to the XLR or would I be better getting an XLR to jack and using the XLR out of the venue series to the 1/4 input on the PA !

Either one will work fine - it won't affect your sound.

The time when you would want to use the XLR over the 1/4" out is if you were running longer distances to your mixer. The balanced XLR will keep the signal more intact over longer cable runs. If you are running your cables under about 50', then either output should be fine.
