Hello all! This is my first post on this forum so far, but I'm sure it's not my last...
Ok, so I've installed quite a few pickups from LR Baggs in my time as an in-store luthier. By far, my favorite pickup has been the Anthem system. While the Anthem works fine on my Taylor, I have most recently run into a little snag with my newest addition: a Martin OM-28V.
I bought the guitar without fully realizing that the bridge was a vintage-style open-sided saddle (unlike the standard drop-in type like on more modern acoustics). My intention was to install the Anthem system, but I'm trying to stay away from the under-the-saddle piezo in this case since the sides of the saddle bottom will be exposed and it will look less than desirable.
So, I was wondering if anyone has been able to use the Mic portion of the Anthem only without a piezo element backing it up?
OOoor, has anyone used the Hex-Saddles with the Anthem Microphone? I may be willing to try this as well...
...any suggestions?
