audio jack problems

I purchased a 000/SME Breedlove guitar about 6 months ago, from Elderly, with a voice SL system. It worked great until today, when I tried to put the audio cable jack in the back of the guitar the jack would only go in about 3/4 of the way. A second attempt to put the cabled audio jack in the guitar worked but the volume is extremely low and the volume control doesn't appear to be working correctly.
Can I remove the system out and send it in for repair?
