  • Rattling coming from Anthem?

Just noticed some rattling when I play certain chords and palm mute. It sounds like it's the Anthem to me. Anyone else experienced this, and if so, how do I fix it?
If it matters, the guitar is a Martin 00015sm.

    Hey Shannon,
I would press on the preamp inside the soundhole (or have someone else do it) while you're playing to see if that stops the rattle. If the rattle is coming from the preamp, it may just be resting up against the edge of the soundhole or an internal brace in a way that would create a vibration at certain frequencies. If that's the case, removing and reinstalling the preamp may be all you need. Doubling up the adhesives can also help to avoid nearby bracing in the guitar.

If you need to remount the preamp with fresh adhesives, just let me know at [email protected].

Something has gone wrong with my Braggs Anthem pickup. There is a component that was attached to the body at one point (self adhesive) that has come loose. During a gig yesterday I started getting distortion when tuned to drop D. It is affected by motion, so I suspect it’s a mechanical problem perhaps connected to the loose component. Is this something I can fix or do I need a luthier, or a good technician? I tried double face tape but I have no idea where it belongs. Looks like it may be the bridge pickup, but I get the distortion regardless of the dial setting.

I just replied to the email you sent in. If you want to get back to me, I'll do what I can to help.
