Anthem Breaking signal and Popping

When a signal is 100% on a "piezo level", anthem works well. Problem will come, when a signal is on a "mic level", sound come out totally or popping, espetialy when I use a volume control. When its working well, sound is perfekt, but sometime, its absolutely impossible and flustrating to give back a signal.

You might want to try unplugging the mic from the back of the preamp. If that gets rid of the noise, the mic itself may be the issue. If the noise remains with the mic removed, there's probably something else going on.
