  • Anthem with Boss WL-50

    Hi,

    an odd one (or not...?)

I have installed an Anthem into my guitar and am trying to use my regular setup which includes a Boss WL-50 wireless into a pedal.

When I use the WL-50 with the anthem, I get a recurring clicking sound that accelerates (yes!, it changes beat)
When I use the WL-50 with my Fender strat - all clean.
When I use the WL-50 with my other guitar - all clean.
When I use a cable into the amp from the Anthem - all clean.

I've done the above with a battery-powered system (no mains) and all plugged in to mains power. No change.

    Any suggestions??

    Thanks!

The Anthem will only turn on properly if an unbalanced cable is plugged into the output jack in the guitar. The WL-50 has a TRS cable end, and likely won't turn the pickup on correctly without an adapter. If you can use a small TS elbow adapter like the Hosa GPP-151, you should be able to get the Anthem and the wireless to work together.

If your Anthem is newer than 2018-19, you shouldn't have any digital interference issues either.

Thankyou! I have a pigtail 1/4in extender. Worked like a charm.
