  • Output gain way too low

Hey guy I just upgraded from the Fishman and with the Amp I use (ACUS) I used to be at 1/2 volume on gain and now I have to turn the gain to the max and turn my mic volume WAAAAY down. I tried twisting the inside adjustment with the tool to the right, I THINk it's all the way but I'm not sure, anyone else have this issue?

Starting to regret my $500 upgrade

    Hey Eugene,
    Thanks for posting.

The Anthem systems all have a lower output level than most other active pickups out there. So it's not abnormal to need more gain on the amp or mixer to optimize the signal. Depending on your amp and what else you're plugging in, it shouldn't take much to bring up the input gain and get up to the necessary output level.

I think you and I may have spoken on the phone earlier today. If so, and if the lower output isn't going to work for you, let me know and I will see what I can do to make something work for you. You can email me directly at [email protected] if you want to go over some potential options that would make this a better situation for you.

Just emailed thanks. I wonder if it's an ongoing issue/complaint that customers have, it's possible to build a system that have a higher output level without compromising quality?

The low output of the Anthem has always been an issue for certain players. It doesn't seem to make too much of a difference for most players.

It usually becomes a problem in guitars where the Element gives a lower output than normal due to specific things in the guitar. The saddle material alone can influence the output of the Element/Anthem by +/- 10dB or so.
