  • Plugging an Anthem pickup directly into a powered PA speaker?

I own a pair of JBL PRX812 1,500 watt powered PA speakers that I will be using for live sound at a wedding where I am playing my acoustic guitar. I cannot find a data sheet on the LR Baggs website that gives me the exact output signal from the Anthem pickup system. Would I have to use a DI box or some kind of mixer/interface to get the signal up to or bucked down to the level a powered PA speaker requires?

I would recommend using a preamp/DI if you are able to. The Anthem is an active system and should work by itself, but using an additional preamp with a variable gain will help to optimize the signal before going directly into the speaker.

In fact, I also tried to cope with the sound settings on my own, but I didn't succeed. I don't know what this is connected with, since I have always managed to do it. Probably, my freedom played a big role. I was very worried and did not know what to do and completely let the whole situation out of control... My friend advised me to pay attention to https://www.truesoundhire.co.uk/ and they helped me take care of the equipment at the wedding, where I wanted to voice my song.
