I'd like to add a passive pickup to the Element. Is there a wiring diagram or preamp disassembly image available? I'm assuming it would just be wired the ring and ground. Not sure if there would be a crosstalk problem. I'm wondering if there would be an advantage to keeping it separate with its own output jack. Thanks.

Hey D18vms,
The diagram for that wiring is below. The second, passive pickup wires directly to the ring contact on the jack, giving you stereo output.
Different types of pickups will have more or less crosstalk, but it really should be pretty minimal with this design.
I hope this helps.
