Low output on new element

I replied to your email a short while ago. Here is what I wrote for anyone's reference.

That is a very strange issue. Nothing in the circuit design has really changed in the Element, and definitely nothing that should cause that kind of output difference.

When you get the pickup up to a normal level, is the tone sounding like it should?

Also, did you get the same model Element as you had before (volume only or VTC)?

Hey! I’ve installed dozens of elements over the years and just switched out the old one on my j45 for a brand new one. (The old one was having multiple issues)
but
the volume is significantly lower, about 1/2.
sane saddle. Same slot. Etc.

what could be the issue. I’ve tried everything I could think of.
