Lyric double sided tape

I recently needed to remove the Lyric mic to do some work on the bridge pin holes. Now it will not stick back on. Can the tape be removed and replaced ? Can any double sided tape be used ? Can double sided tape be added to the existing tape or will that raise the mic to high ? Does LR Baggs offer replacement tape ? Any information would be helpful Caleb.

It's definitely best to remove the original adhesives rather than stack them. The mic specifically is set at a calculated height from the guitar top.
