  • Lyric + Highlander

I am thinking about buying a Lowden that is fitted with a Highlander under-saddle p-up and I was wondering if it would be possible to combine this with a Lyric mike. Thinking something like a hybrid Anthem set-up or some such. Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hey Caffler,
    Thanks for posting.

The Lyric can add a passive pickup directly to its output jack for stereo output. This won't give you any blending or mixing capabilities on the guitar, but it does allow you to use two sources out of a single jack. The stereo cable from the guitar can feed into a stereo preamp or mixer to accomplish any blending that you need to do. Using a mono cable would give you the Lyric by itself.

If that is the functionality that you want and if the Highlander can be used passively, then this should work just fine.

    I hope this helps.

      Thanks Caleb,
That was along the lines of what I was thinking.
However the whole thing just became redundant today, I was outbid on the guitar.
Back to the drawing board I guess.

        Gotta hate when that happens.
