Hello, my name is Jonas Abrigo. I recently bought a pickup for an LR Baggs guitar on Amazon from Liquid Audio Inc. I bought it and adapted it for my Martin D15m guitar, but when I turn it on to the soundboard, the volume of the instrument is very low, I have to give a lot of gain to hear anything and it remains low. If I connect it to an amplifier it's apparently normal, but when I connect it to the soundboard it's horrible, keyboard and guitar exceed the volume of the guitar with little gain. I checked and there is no gain button on the equipment, I don't know how to solve it, but it's very bad. I need help I don't know what else to do

Problem with passive M1 pickup

Hi Jonas,
Thanks for posting.
The M1 Passive doesn't have a preamp/battery built into it, so it usually requires an external preamp in order to operate correctly. If you don't want to use an external preamp, the M1A is the active version of the M1, and it has a preamp built into it. The M1A can plug directly into an amp or PA system without needing an additional preamp. The M1 Passive is going to work best with an external preamp like the Para DI or Venue DI.
