M1A + DualSource

Hi,

Is the M1A compatible with the DualSource (i'd like to blend it with an UST). Perhaps another option exists that will allow me to add a second source along with my M1A. I am all ears

I am also looking for any other simple/cost effective solutions to remove some of the Low to Lowmid boom from the M1A (installed in a Larrivee L03R). I figure the ParaDI, venue DI (or perhaps sessionDI) would all be options.

I am just not sure if that would be my best first course of action or if adding an undersaddle transducer to bring out some more of the highs, allowing me to drop the M1A level a bit (to reduce some of the boom).

Hey Dave,
The Dual Source was designed to work with an undersaddle and a mic. So it will not blend the pickup with a magnetic pickup. For that use, you would need the iMix. The iMix will allow you to blend the Element and the M1 Passive together for mixed or stereo output. However, the M1A (active) has a built in preamp, so it is not compatible with the iMix preamp.

The M1A is not usually describes as boomy, so that does seem odd to me. Usually, the M1A is more mid-heavy and bright, rather than boomy. What kind or amp/PA do you usually play through?
