  • Polepieces for Weissenborn tuned to C6th

I've just bought a M1A pickup to put in my Weissenborn guitar tuned to C6th.

    The strings are (w=wound, p=plain)

    C E G A C E
    36w 30w 24p 21p 17p 14p

which is quite different from any of the acoustic guitar settings in the manual.

Where do I start in setting the polepieces?

In general, the plain or unwound strings are going to be louder than the wound strings. So I would recommend setting the poles under the unwound strings a bit lower into the pickup, with the bass/wound poles a little higher. From there you can fine-tune the poles to balance the string to string balance.
