  • M80 Strapjack

    Hi there,

I am new to this forum. Thanks so much for providing this for help to the LR Baggs community.

I have a question concerning the Strapjack for the M80.

I have a Taylor GS mini with the ES Go soundhole pickup installed. I just recently purchase the L.R. Baggs M80 pickup and want to install it. My question is, Can I leave the strapjack from the ES Go in place and use it instead of the M80's strapjack. My reason is that Taylor pre-drilled the hole at the back of the GS Mini and also took some of the wood off the back of the guitar to fit the ES Go into. Please see images.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi RoryM,
I can't find any exact specs on the ES Go, but from what I can see there is no reason why it wouldn't work. You would just plug directly into the M80.

If you can, please let us know what you discover with this venture. It would be great info to have.

Also, if for whatever reason it doesn't work, let us know so we can figure out the appropriate set up for your system.

    Thanks,
    Morgan

      It works

      Hi there Morgan,

Thanks for your info. I have done as you have suggested and it works really well.
I wasn't sure if there was any special electronic components inside the LR Baggs strapjack that the ES Go one doesn't have.

      Many thanks for your suggestion.

      Regards,

      RoryM
