Radius Mando Pickup Noise

Hi folks, or maybe Caleb? I just bought a used Radius pup for my Kentucky KM252. I'm running through the Para Acoustic DI into my Fender Acoustasonic and the pickup works and very sensitive, however, it's very "thumpy" when picking. I've tried adjusting the DI, repositioning the pup and it's still sounds like hitting a bass drum upon attacking the string(s). I've used McIntyre feather before and didn't experience this amount of heavy thumping. Any advice?
