  • LR Baggs Session DI and TC Helicon Voicelive 3

Hi there. I was given the Session DI and would like to add it into the chain. With using it with the TC Helicon, would it be better to use it before or after that?
I have a Taylor Doyle Dykes Anniversary and put the Lyric into that. I like what the DI adds to the signal, but it needs to be EQ'd quite significantly (which is where the TC Helicon comes in). Will the EQ be better pre or post the DI?
The presence control is just about off, but I am getting a hollowness in the guitar tone. Will adding some of that back in help to alleviate that, or is it best to use EQ to fix that up?
    Thanks so much.

    Hey Scotty,
The order of EQ and compression is an argument that is about as old as it gets. Different people prefer one way or the other for different reasons, and there really isn't a one-size-fits-all answer. I always recommend trying both and seeing what you like the most. For me, I would probably run the TC first for EQ, and then the Session for the final "master" processing and the high-quality DI output. But you could go either way. The Session itself works great either way.

    I hope this helps.
