Session DI with additional compression

I am in the process of building a new pedalboard. I know the Session DI uses compression. Would I benefit from adding compression to the beginning of my signal chain as well, or is the Session DI by itself adequate?

Hey jhoag,

The Session's compression is multi-band, and pretty specifically tuned to reduce problem frequencies common in acoustic guitars. So adding a full-range compressor should still work differently enough so that the two compressors would compliment each other, rather than compete with each other.

If you have another compressor that you like, it would absolutely be worth trying out.
