venue extreme buzz using with power supply quiet w just battery

I have a Venue pedal that when plugging in power supply it is just extremely loud buzzing like a shorted cable making the pedal unusable with a power supply. I am using the proper power supply and tried another one with proper specs and polarity ,no go. Using it with just the battery it is quiet a a mouse. I am not using xlr DI output. I forget to unplug the input and am going through 9volts like candy. My friend suggested it might be a diode on the power supply input. Please help. Keveen

My guess is that you're getting a ground loop when using the DC power. Are you able to try the XLR output on the Venue? If you can try that, you'll be able to utilize the Ground/Lift switch, which should get rid of any ground loop.
