  • Align session pedals before or after the Venue DI?

    Hi all.

What would be the best place to put the Align Session pedal in the signal chain? Before or after the Venue DI?

    Thanks!!

Personally, I like the Session first in the chain whenever possible. So I'd run my guitar into the Session and then into the Venue.

You can try different ways to see what you prefer, but this is what I typically like the best.

Thanks. But doesn’t that mess with the impedance matching protocol people all over the web are so worried about, how it screws up the signal and sound and all?
The output impedance of the pedal is so much
lower than the input of the Venue.

What pickup(s) do you usually use in your instrument(s)?

Different guitars: K&K pure mini (passive, but a K&K preamp is on its way), a Lyric and a passive iBeam with external preamp (mixpro).

            Ok,
With active pickups like the Lyric (through the Mixpro), the difference in impedance won't make any significant difference. Oddly enough, K&K recommends a lower input impedance to help reduce the inherent boomy bass of the pickups. So the Session going first would potentially be a better option for the passive K&K.

              That’s clear, thanks.
