Excellent product this VPDI!
After hearing the various ideas, I'd thought I'd add another voiceprint idea.
I tried to make VPs from out of old strings and new strings. Seeing if there's a difference. My use case context is that I may not be in time to make string changes and thought this might be one way to have great tone.
I had a field day making VPs out of old strings (with iPhone mic and an external Audio-technica AT2035 condenser mic) and new strings.
I enjoyed the tones coming out of my Furch OM Vintage 2. Confident on any given day now. :)
